The Image of The Divine Mercy

In 1931, our Lord appeared to St. Faustina in a vision. She saw Jesus clothed in a white garment with His right hand raised in blessing. His left hand was touching His garment in the area of the Heart, from where two large rays came forth, one red and the other pale. She gazed intently at the Lord in silence, her soul filled with awe, but also with great joy.

Welcome to our website!

Our website is dedicated to St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, who was familiar with modern technology, as she wanted to find an elevator to raise her to heaven!

These pages will be a continuing work in progress, just as we ourselves are.  Visit often to watch this site grow, as we too grow in community and our love for the Lord.

Mission Statement of the OCDS Washington Province, to which our Community belongs:

The members of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites are faithful members of the Church, called to live “in allegiance to Jesus Christ” through “friendship with the One we know loves us” and in service to the Church.  Under the protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in the biblical tradition of the prophet Elijah, and inspired by the teachings of St. Teresa of Jesus and St. John of the Cross, they seek to deepen their Christian commitment received in baptism.
